They say the house on the hill is haunted.
They say she still lives there, the lady who killed herself. The house has been scarred, her marks on the house still exists. There are scratches on the walls where her bloody nails had run down them countless number of times. Death and decay surrounds it. Overgrown vines and moss blanket the tumbling walls, sheathing it, protecting it from an unknown foe. And when darkness falls you can hear her haunting wails floating miles over hills, ceasing travelers in their journey and giving them an opportunity to think of respite for the approaching night, making children rush into their warm beds to pull up blankets over their heads and get lost in the safe world of dreams and the adults to shutter their doors and windows. A haunting melody that echoes and reflects centuries of yearning and sorrow.
They say the house on the hill is haunted. They say she's still there...trapped forever.
